Role Description
We are seeking a highly skilled CPQ Specialist to serve as the DealHub subject matter expert (SME) across our client engagements. This role will be fully dedicated to DealHub CPQ consulting, implementation, administration, and ongoing management.
The ideal candidate brings deep experience in Quote-to-Cash (QTC) processes and enterprise CPQ platforms (e.g., Salesforce CPQ, Nue.io, Oracle CPQ, or similar), with the ability to translate that expertise into DealHub. This individual will be responsible for becoming DealHub-certified and leading all aspects of CPQ solution delivery—from discovery and solution design through implementation, integration, training, and optimization.
This role sits at the intersection of RevOps strategy and technical execution, working across CRM, billing, contract management, and broader revenue technology ecosystems to deliver scalable, high-impact CPQ solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the DealHub CPQ SME across all client engagements: design, implement, configure, and manage DealHub solutions.
- Lead CPQ-focused discovery sessions to understand pricing models, quoting workflows, approval processes, billing structures, and contract lifecycle requirements.
- Translate business and revenue requirements into scalable CPQ architectures, including product catalogs, pricing rules, discounting logic, approvals, and quote generation.
- Design and implement end-to-end Quote-to-Cash workflows, ensuring alignment across CRM (Salesforce, HubSpot), billing systems, and downstream revenue processes
- Build and maintain DealHub configurations including:
- Product and pricing catalogs
- Bundling and configuration logic
- Approval workflows
- Quote templates and document generation
- Subscription and usage-based pricing models
- Architect and support integrations between DealHub and the broader revenue tech stack (CRM, billing, ERP, revenue recognition, e-signature tools).
- Lead or partner in full lifecycle implementations: configuration, integrations, data migration, QA/testing, deployment, and user enablement.
- Develop documentation including BRDs, solution designs, pricing logic documentation, and user training materials.
- Provide ongoing optimization and administration support for DealHub environments post-implementation.
- Stay current on DealHub capabilities, CPQ trends, and evolving Quote-to-Cash best practices.
Qualifications & Requirements
Platform & Technology Skills
- Strong experience with enterprise CPQ platforms (Salesforce CPQ, Nue.io, Oracle CPQ, Apttus/Conga, etc.).
- Deep understanding of Quote-to-Cash processes, including pricing strategy, discounting, approvals, contracts, billing, and revenue operations.
- Experience implementing or administering DealHub CPQ (preferred) OR willingness and ability to quickly certify and become an expert in DealHub.
- Strong working knowledge of CRM systems (Salesforce and/or HubSpot) and how CPQ integrates within them.
- Familiarity with adjacent revenue systems: billing/subscription platforms (e.g., Stripe, Zuora), contract lifecycle management (CLM), e-signature tools (DocuSign), and revenue recognition systems.
- Understanding of data structures, product catalogs, pricing models (subscription, usage-based, tiered), and revenue workflows.
- Experience with integrations (native, middleware, APIs) across CPQ, CRM, and finance systems.
- Ability to translate complex pricing and revenue models into scalable technical solutions.
- Strong documentation and process-mapping skills.
Engagement & Consulting Experience
- Proven experience in a consulting, agency, or professional services environment delivering CPQ or Quote-to-Cash solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to lead CPQ-focused discovery sessions with stakeholders across Sales, Finance, RevOps, and Legal.
- Experience identifying inefficiencies in quoting, pricing, and contract workflows and recommending scalable solutions.
- Ability to create or contribute to Statements of Work (SOWs) with clearly defined CPQ scope, deliverables, and timelines.
- Strong communication skills—able to explain complex CPQ concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience delivering training for sales teams, RevOps teams, and finance stakeholders on CPQ processes and systems.
Implementation & Delivery
- Hands-on experience delivering end-to-end CPQ implementations: discovery → design → configuration → integration → testing → deployment → training → support.
- Experience configuring complex pricing models, approval workflows, and quoting logic within CPQ platforms.
- Ability to manage multiple CPQ engagements simultaneously while maintaining quality and timelines.
- Strong collaboration with cross-functional teams (RevOps, Finance, Sales, Engineering) to ensure seamless Quote-to-Cash execution.
- Experience troubleshooting CPQ issues related to pricing, quoting, integrations, and data inconsistencies.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on scalability, maintainability, and long-term system performance.
